X Factor’s Tulisa To Get £70000 Make Over? – MTV UK

Newly appointed X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos will allegedly be receiving a £70,000 make over, following fears that she looks like a chav.
According to The Sun, celebrity stylist Gemma Sheppard has been called in by worried XF bosses to “de-chav” the N-Dubz singer and to rid Contostavlos of her beloved tracksuits and bling.

The Playing With Fire singer is rumoured to be getting £30k more than fellow judge Kelly Rowland to spend on her wardrobe, with a production source telling the tabloid: “They put aside so much for Tulisa because you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.”
“They want her to be the new nation’s sweetheart. She looked too chavvy and cheap on the first-day auditions so producers gave her a bigger budget for clothes and styling.”
The insider added: “They want her to have a designer look with chic class – more Posh Spice than Vicky Pollard in Little Britain, which was how she has looked more than a few times.”
The source revealed that after Tulisa made her X Factor debut wearing a red and black jumpsuit with lips on it, people thought “she’d turned up in her pajamas” and that the 22-year old felt “insignificant” next to Kelly and head-judge, Gary Barlow.
They continued: “She has gained confidence. It’s amazing what an Alexander McQueen dress and proper make-up can do.”
As well as landing a job on The X Factor, Tulisa has also revealed that she is planning to launch her own solo career away from N-Dubz.
Speaking on Choice FM, Contostavlos admitted: “I’d like to make a combination of things. I want to get on a bit of dance stuff. I’d love to work with someone like Swedish House Mafia, try something different.
She added: “I also want to do acoustic things, just work from scratch with instruments whether it be strings or piano and just real melodic music. That’s what I’d like to do. Some nice ballads as well. Because that’s what I’m about really, growing up.”
