Gary Barlow named favourite X Factor judge by TellyMix readers

New X Factor judge Gary Barlow may be a bit of meanie on the show, but he’s been voted the most popular judge by TellyMix readers. More than 6,000 of you voted in our poll after Saturday’s opening show, with Gary topping the vote with almost a third of all votes.
More than 2,000 X Factor fans (32%) named Gary as their favourite judge, after 11 million viewers tuned in to watch the new panel make their debut on Saturday night’s first show.
And with witty one liners including “The reason people are up on their feet… It’s not because you’re good,” it’s not hard to see why the Take That front man as effortlessly filled the void left by Simon Cowell on the show.

Feisty N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos was next in our poll with 27% of the vote (1,710 votes), following an aggressive clash with hopeful George Gerasimou. Describing the 23-year-old as “some scumbag from the block”, George was eventually kicked out by security, but not before Tulisa had her say.
She blasted at him: “You’ve embarrassed yourself to the entire nation. I worked myself up from Camden Town and that’s why I’m here today.”
Third in our poll was the show’s only returning judge, sitting on the panel for the eighth year, Louis Walsh. The Irish music mogul scooped 24% of the votes (1,467) after Saturday’s debut episode.
Finally, coming bottom is poor Kelly Rowland 
Despite being one of our personal favourites, just 17% preferred the US star to the other trio of judges, and we’re just not sure why! Viewers saw Kelly exclaim on the first show: “Can I just say, I freaking love the UK! You gotta love it here.”
Speaking about Frankie Cocozza’s audition, she added: “He came on, he showed his ass, literally. You’ve got to love that.”
