Cheryl Cole is reportedly considering a return to The X Factor.

The former Girls Aloud singer was said to be devastated when the music mogul sacked her from the American series of the show last month, however relations are thought to have now thawed a little and Cole is allegedly thinking about returning for next year’s series.

An insider said the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker will not go crawling back either, but will rejoin the judging panel of the ITV show on ‘her own terms.’ They explained:

“Cheryl’s considering going back to UK X Factor next year, but strictly on her own terms. She’s had preliminary discussions. Simon is very keen to have her back, not least because he was totally shocked at the public backlash against him after he dropped her.”

The source also revealed that slowly but surely, Cheryl is letting Simon back into her life, though things are still less than rosy between them. They added to reveal magazine:

“Cheryl and Simon are talking again, even though she was ignoring his calls after the shambles over the US show. It’s certainly not warm and lovely, but Cheryl is being very clever and knows not to permanently burn bridges.

“She’s fully aware that a lot of her advertising deals and associations with brands have come about because of her X Factor role.”
